It's mid-August, back-to-school season, and we've got plenty of Selkie's classic nostalgic uniform moments in the latest collection. I absolutely adore school looks and have pulled from my own experience fondly since leaving my uniform and tie days behind in the UK. It's hard to choose my favorites from this drop, although I've got quite a few in my closet already—the all-black heiress dress, the South of France in, well, everything, both Wish dresses for that seriously Selkie look, and of course both the ballet starter sweaters are already on rotation. I'm especially excited to take some fall photos in the gorgeous Oktoberfest maiden gown. There are lots of new options in Galileo with a little bit of something for everyone.

I love reminiscing in August; I think about those few days before school started in the late 90s, Delia's catalogues stacked up and highlighted, new binders decorated on the table, a big backpack awaiting its inevitable wear and tear... it's oh so far away from me now but still brings such delight. I can remember it so well, saving my Subway sandwich paychecks and video store money only to dump it all out at Contempo Casuals and Wet Seal, with just enough left over for a great new pencil case. These little moments helped form the designer I am today and are reflected in so much of what I do.Hope you had a great summer, xoxo
